The final price will depend on the design, metal, gemstones or diamonds selected, and the complexity of the piece. I will always discuss your budget with you before we begin developing the design.

Yes. Once we have sourced and agreed upon your stone, a £150 non-refundable design fee is taken before the design stage begins.

This covers the time spent developing your piece and includes up to three rounds of design changes.

The £150 is then deducted from the final cost of your jewellery, should you proceed with the commission.

The fee is non-refundable because it covers the time and creative work involved in developing your bespoke design, even if you later decide not to proceed with production.

The design fee is not required at the initial enquiry stage.

We will first discuss your ideas, budget and preferences and, where required, source a selection of suitable diamonds or gemstones.

Once you have chosen your stone and are ready to move into the design stage, the £150 design fee becomes payable.

The bespoke process can be carried out remotely through email, photographs, video calls and digital design approvals, so you do not need to be based in London to commission a Semai piece.

Because of the organic character of Semai jewellery and the nature of hand-finishing, there may be very slight variations between individual pieces.

Gemstones are also naturally individual, so colour, inclusions and character can vary from stone to stone.

These subtle differences are part of what makes each piece personal.

Fine jewellery is designed to be worn and enjoyed, but precious metals and gemstones still need care.

I recommend removing jewellery before exercising, heavy manual work, swimming, bathing or using household chemicals.
